At the commemoration ceremony of its 39th founding anniversary held at its head office in Siheung City on Dec. 1, KGS had an oath signing ceremony to practice ethics and integrity and assured the corporation would observe ethical management faithfully. It was the first of its kind in KGS history.
About 400 KGS executives and employees of its head office and branches in the capital sphere took part in the ceremony.
The event proceeded videoview of the messages from external interest parties, oath by executives and employees and oath signing ceremony. Of particular note, people of diverse classes, including related officials from the government, academia and regional communities, as well as the gas industry participated in the delivery of the video messages and supported KGS' oath to practice ethics and integrity, cutting a figure.
As to the oath to practice ethics and integrity conducted together with interest parties, KGS President & CEO JUN Dae-Chun said, "In 2012, KGS harvested high business performance, including achievement of the Most Excellent Organization as the result of an integrity investigation.
President CHUN added, "Not only declaring our intention to implement ethical management internally and externally, but also I call on executives and employees to abide by the code of ethics completely, enhance the public confidence of our corporation. Through this, I expect KGS to take off toward the world's highest-level gas safety-specialized organization."
Meanwhile, KGS plans to make public the content of the integrity oath through Facebook and solicit interest parties to join in the oath in cyber space, and take the lead in making 'Happy Korea,' not stopping the oath signing ceremony at an internal event but expanding it also externally.
